Impact story
Fresh from her stall: a woman’s fruit and vegetable business
August 7, 2025
Behind a wooden stall of fresh avocados, tomatoes, greens and eggs is a woman building something of her own. For many women in our community, a small business like this means income, independence and the ability to provide for their families.
Women’s economic empowerment is at the heart of the Cistern of Hope Foundation’s work. We support women to establish and grow viable businesses through encouragement, mentorship, practical support and regular follow-up.
When a woman earns, the benefits reach far beyond her stall. Children stay in school, households eat better and women gain a stronger voice in their families and communities.
Stand with women building their own futures. Partner with us to support more women in enterprise.
